International Integrated Education Week, 2-6 March 2015

As part of International Integration education week, Ulidia Integrated College were invited to a celebration event at Stormont showcasing the talent of integrated schools through song and drama.  The event took place in the Long Gallery, with Trevor Lunn from the Alliance party as the guest of honour.  Noreen Campbell, CEO for NICIE welcomed all integrated school pupils, staff and guests to this annual event.  The theme for this year was ‘Horizons’, symbolising the positive future for integrated education in Northern Ireland.

Year 12 Performing Arts students, Aimee Neill, Christine McCabe, Lauren McNeice, Scott Taylor and Megan Cochrane performed a short act from Blood Brothers which was very professionally executed and well received by the audience. Mrs Bonar and Mrs McColgan, who attended the event, were both very proud of the students involved. They received many compliments including one from Trevor Lunn, who commented on how it was, ‘just like being at The Opera House, they were true stars.’  We couldn’t agree more!
