25 Apr Duke of Ed groups take on the Grassroots Challenge
The Duke of Edinburgh silver candidates from Ulidia Integrated College have decided to take on the Grassroots Challenge this year as their expedition aim.
While they are on their practice and qualifying expeditions the groups will complete environmental surveys of both the Mournes and Antrim Hill areas of Northern Ireland. The data that they collect will be used by local wildlife groups.
The groups were visited by Dawn Patterson from Ulster Wildlife Trust on Tuesday 17th April to be trained in how to use the survey equipment and to plan their surveys.
