Excellent Results For Year 12!

SUCCESS REIGNS AGAIN FOR ULIDIA INTEGRATED COLLEGE STUDENTS

Following our outstanding ‘A’ Level results, the Principal, staff and Governors of Ulidia Integrated College would like to congratulate our Year 12 students on their brilliant performance at GCSE level.

The college is yet again delighted that our students have surpassed, not just the schools very high expectation and targets, but also those set out by the Department of Education for Northern Ireland to benchmark and measure academic success and high quality teaching and learning, in their publication ‘Every School a Good School’.

Mr Eugene Martin, Principal, said, “Personally, I would like to congratulate all of our Year 12 students and our teaching staff for their endeavour and dedication over the last two years.  This has culminated in the students achieving the best set of examination results at GCSE level Ulidia has had to date. These results clearly put Ulidia as one of the top performing schools in Northern Ireland.”

Comparing Ulidia’s results with the most recent benchmarking data available from the Department of Education, Ulidia Integrated College would be ranked amongst the top performing schools in Northern Ireland.

In summary,

  • 96% of all results were at Grade C or better with almost a third of results at Grade A* or A or equivalent.
  • 97% of our students gained 7 or more A*-C grades or equivalent.
  • 84% of our students achieved 9 or more GCSE A*-C. grades.
  • Every student achieved at least 5 or more A*-C grades (100%).
  • 85% of our Year 12 students will be returning for sixth form study.

As a consequence, Ulidia Integrated College has been inundated with applications from students wishing to continue their studies at Sixth Form level.  Such has been the demand the college will be taking seeking an increase to our enrolment number, from the Department of Education, to cater for the academic needs of these students.  We look forward to welcoming a record number of our Year 12 pupils back for Sixth Form courses in September.
