Students Debate EU Policies At Stormont

Three year 13 students, Joe Glass, Anna Maguire and Phoebe Cochrane, took part in the annual Mock Council of the European Union in Stormont on Friday 10th October. The prestigious event, organised by the British Council, gathered students from 29 schools across the country and was set in the Senate Chamber of Parliament Buildings.

Ulidia students discussed EU Foreign Policies and Youth Employment Strategies in a debate chaired by Jane Morrice, Vice President of the European Economic and Social Committee.

Our students represented the interests of The Netherlands and learned some of the rules of political debating in a formal environment. It was a great day for everyone.
