Addressing Bullying in Schools for Staff, Parents & Governors

Addressing Bullying in Schools for Staff, Parents & Governors

As you are aware, here in Ulidia we aim to create a safe and secure environment where all pupils can reach their full potential. We strive to create a strong sense of respect and responsibility and as part of that we have worked hard to create a strong anti-bullying culture.

On Monday 5th January the Department of Education began a consultation period on addressing bullying in schools. This is to help inform a proposed legislation on how all schools should deal with the issue in a consistent manner and this is something that we at Ulidia welcome.

All members of the school community are invited to share their views with the Department using the questionnaire found at the link below. Pupils will have the opportunity to complete their questionnaire in school during the consultation period. We feel it is important that everyone’s voice is heard so we would urge you to complete this before the consultation ends on Friday 27th February 2015.
