Hockey Blitz in Carrick

Hockey Blitz in Carrick

On Friday 25th November, the Year 8 hockey team attended a hockey blitz at Downshire school. The girls have been training hard and were very excited to be playing some friendly games before their league starts in January.

Although the girls got off to a shaky start by letting Ballyclare Secondary take the lead, they were able to hold off their opponents for the final half of the match. The girls played Downshire next and thanks to the superb skill level and energy demonstrated by the team, Ulidia was able to take an early lead. Two more goals were scored to leave the final tally 3-0 to Ulidia. Well done to all of those girls involved, especially Billie-Jo and Tamzin who were named players of the match!
