26 May Schools Fantasy League 2014/2015 Round-Up
Congratulations to Mr Armstrong who is the clear winner of this year’s fantasy football competition with his team ‘Otis Super Leeds Cat’. Most of the season saw Mr Jamison at the top of the leaderboard but some naïve tactical manoeuvres and ill-advised transfers saw his ‘Comber Blues’ team slip up like Stevie Gerrard.
Mr Armstrong, however, demonstrated a knowledge of football and a shrewd tactical ability. His refusal to pick any players from the team in Salford (he won’t let us even mention their proper name) proved pivotal. The psychological pressure he applied to Mr Jamison over the last few weeks of the season was inspired – so much so that the Comber True Blues showed form more like relegation candidates!
Congratulations also to Matthew Dineen who finished as top pupil in the competition.
