On Monday 15th May we held our annual Golf Outing at Carrickfergus Golf Club.  This year the winner of the trophy would be decided over a 9 hole format (stableford points).

The event was well attended with four golfers from year 11; Ryan McK (11MCR), Ryan McN (11MCR), Mark (11FRD), Jake (11MCR) and two from year 14; Josh (14TNR) and Ryan (14GLS).

The prizes on the day were awarded as follows;

Closest to the pin;
Mark (11FRD) – 2nd hole
Ryan (14GLS) – 5th hole
Ryan McK (11MCR) – 7th hole

Longest Drive went to Ryan McN on the 6th hole.

In the overall standings Ryan McK (Year 11) emerged as the eventual winner after count back with an impressive 22 points, Jake (Year 11) was second with 22 points and Mark (Year 11) was third with 16 points.

I hope all involved in the day enjoyed it and I would encourage any pupils that are interested in taking part in the event next year to practice over the summer and work towards getting a GUI handicap if they do not have one.

Yours in Sport,

Mr Spratt
