Ulidia Student Brings Home The Gold!

Ulidia Student Brings Home The Gold!

Following on from her recent success at the NEBSSA athletics competition, Erin set her sights on the Districts, which took place on Tuesday 10th May. Erin has been training hard throughout the year and was determined to perform to the best of her ability in her two chosen events, the 100m and high jump.

An earlier win in the 100m heats gave Erin in an ideal lane for the 100m final which was a very close run affair. Although she was unsure of her finishing, the officials awarded her first position in the 100m minor girls final, well done!

Later in the day Erin turned her attention to the high jump. She has been jumping well in recent events and went on to win another first position as well as set a new personal best of 1.45m.

Erin will now go on to represent the South Antrim District at the Milk-It Ulster Secondary Schools Track and Field Championships 2016 on Saturday 21st May 2016. We would all like to say very well done to Erin for her superb achievement and to wish her good luck for the Championship this weekend!
