Students from the year 11 Media Studies class travelled to BBC Blackstaff House in Belfast to watch a live broadcast for BBC School Report Day. School reports were broadcast and during the live studio discussion which followed, students had the opportunity to put questions to the panellists. Louise (11SPR) was the first audience member to be selected and confidently posed her question, “How do you think Brexit will affect the economy?”

Afterwards, the students had their photograph taken with BBC presenter Barra Best, who had presented the live programme.

The students thoroughly enjoyed their experience and seeing behind the scenes of a live studio broadcast has given them a whole new perspective on the industry!
