Return visit from Michael McKillop

Return visit from Michael McKillop

Dr. Michael McKillop in his role as Sky Sports Living for Sport Ambassador returned to the school to continue his work with the year 12 Sports Studies students.  In his visit he spent time assisting and motivating them in planning their sports event.  The students decided as a group to run a ‘Volleyball Olympics’ for all year 10 students during their games lesson on the 6th March.

Michael delivered two classroom sessions and a practical session on the six keys to success.  Drawing on his own experiences he highlighted during his sporting career when he needed to rely on;

  1. Mental toughness
  2. Hunger to achieve
  3. People skills
  4. Sports and life knowledge
  5. Breaking barriers
  6. Planning for success

The students responded well to these ideas and I hope that they can use these key skills in their own lives in the future.

Yours in Sport,

Mr Spratt
