01 Sep A New Year Begins!
We hope everyone has had a fantastic summer and is ready for the new academic year 2015-16!
As you are aware, this year there are some changes to our pastoral structure. Form Teachers continue to be the main point of contact for pupils and parents/guardians. That means that any worries or information that you feel needs to shared can be communicated through Form Teachers first with Year Leaders and the Pastoral Leader offering additional support if necessary.
Any issues you feel are more serious, should be addressed with the Year Leader for the appropriate year group.
The Year Leaders for each year group are as follows:
Year 8 – Miss Hall
Year 9 – Mrs McColgan
Year 10 – Mrs McBride
Year 11 – Mrs Mercer
Year 12 – Mr Shanks
6th Form – Mr Dunlop
Child Protection concerns continue to be dealt with by Miss Connolly, Pastoral Leader & Designated Child Protection Officer and Mrs Howe, Deputy Designated Child Protection Officer. These issues are dealt with in confidence and should only be discussed with Miss Connolly and Mrs Howe.
We continue to encourage any pupil who has worries or concerns, no matter how big or small, to come and talk to us. Any member of staff will be happy to help and will involve the appropriate member of staff so that things are sorted out and as quickly as possible.
We are looking forward to another exciting and productive school year and hope that everyone has a great start to the new year!
