27 Sep New Year 8 Instrumentalists
The music department are delighted to introduce our new year 8 instrumentalists. These talented pupils are taking lessons in a variety of instruments including, drums, guitar, piano and voice.
Did you know that Music stimulates parts of the brain that are related to reading, math and emotional development?
Benefits of Learning a Musical Instrument:
· Requires and strengthens coordination between the hands and visual or auditory stimuli.
· Boosts the normal maturation of connections between motor and sensory regions of the brain.
· Creates a framework upon which ongoing training can build.
· Learning to play the piano strengthens bilateral integration as the two hands learn to coordinate together.
Choir
The choir are enthusiastically back in the swing of things this term and are ‘rollin’ out the year with ‘Proud Mary’. We meet every Monday & Friday lunch times and are expanding rapidly with the new year 8 intake.
