07 Mar Dance Workshop
On Tuesday 4th March Performing Arts students from Years 11-14 were given the opportunity to attend an exclusive workshop run by the renowned Phoenix Dance Theatre company. During the workshop the pupils met some of the UK’s contemporary dance performers and choreographers, receiving astute instruction of movement which was ideal for our budding dancers. The pupils worked on ‘Mapping’ which was inspired by one of the choreographer’s father’s journey from East to West.
On Wednesday 5th March the pupils then attended the company’s own production at Theatre at the Mill, where they were able to watch the professional dancers demonstrate their talents in production.
