03 Nov Litter Picking On Cavehill!
Ulidia Integrated College is taking part in the Wrigley litter less campaign this year. To date, we have completed our annual environmental review and found that gum litter in the school needs improving.
We have received £300 funding for the campaign in school to focus on gum litter. As part of the campaign, the team have decided to pick litter in our local community. They will take part in litter picks at our local beaches and at Cavehill.
On Saturday 18th October a bleary eyed group of Ulidia students met to climb Cavehill, while picking litter along the way. The weather was perfect, dry, windy and bright. The climb was hard work but good fun!
The group picked one full black bag of litter along their walk. They were surprised that there was not more considering the amount of users Cavehill Country Park has.
Well done on your enthusiasm and hard work!!
