08 Dec Ulidia Students In NICIE Youth Parliament
Ulidia’s Head Prefect, Thomas Adams, accompanied by Anna Maguire and Jordan McCrea, went to Stormont Hotel on Wednesday as part of the Youth Parliament organised by NICIE. They met with 80 other students from 25 integrated schools from around the country to show members of the Committee for Education what Integrated Education means to them.
NICIE organised the Youth Parliament to gather young people attending integrated primary and secondary schools and provide them with an opportunity to voice their opinion directly to members of the Committee, as a response for the Inquiry into Shared and Integrated Education.
Thomas was selected to welcome each member of the Committee as they arrived and was congratulated by NICIE on the clarity and conviction with which he expressed his point of view to the Chair of the Committee, Ms Michelle McIlveen.
Thomas, Anna and Jordan were excellent ambassadors for Integrated Education – Well done!
