The RSPB Visit Ulidia

The RSPB Visit Ulidia

Before the Easter break the Eco Team were visited by the RSPB. During the visit students learnt about different types of habitat and how to encourage animals onto the school grounds, to increase biodiversity.

Students then completed a biodiversity survey of the school by looking at mini beasts and habitats that exist within the grounds. During the study we found a spider egg and other exciting creatures that we did not know were within our grounds. The group also discussed introducing bat boxes and a log pile to encourage more wildlife into our school.

Thank you to Catherine O’Boyle from the RSPB for visiting us, all students enjoyed the event and learnt a lot.
