19 Jun Former Pupil Returns To Give Advice and Information To MIA Students
“On the 4th of June 2015 we welcomed a past pupil, Vanessa Townsley, to our school to give us career advice and information about the film industry.
Vanessa didn’t do GCSE Moving Image Arts because at the time the class didn’t exist, but she did go on and take the class as part of her A levels and when done, she decided to further her studies at Farnham University in England.
She now works at Pinewood Studios and has recently worked on upcoming movies like Alice in Wonderland 2, Avengers 2 and is starting work on Wonderwoman for next year. Vanessa’s talk has greatly benefited me and has made me realise that the film industry is not as hard to get into as I had once thought.”
