Year 11 Photography Exhibition

Year 11 Photography Exhibition

The Year 11 Art class had a fantastic morning at the grand opening of their photography work exhibition.  The exhibition in the ‘Long Gallery’, Stormont was run by ‘AES power’ and ‘Belfast Exposed’.  It was opened by representatives from AES and Stewart Dickson MLA. Ulidia was involved in the exhibition along with three other local schools.

The exhibition was based upon the theme of ‘Power’, from the source to the light switch.  Our pupils took part in three workshops, after taking their photos they got the chance to edit them in the studio at Belfast Exposed.  It was an excellent opportunity for the pupils who learned valuable skills in Photography and Photoshop editing.

We also learned that the students work will move onto the Ulster Museum in April, details on how long it will be displayed will be available on the school website very soon, so please come and view.  Its not often that a young person can say their work has been displayed in the Ulster Museum and Stormont!
