Johanna Johnston has been performing from the age of three as an Irish dancer and singer.  She progressed onto musical theatre at sixteen, staring in Les Miserables and Oklahoma with Peter Corry in Theatre at the Mill.  Since then she has performed in a number of musicals, pantomimes and concerts throughout Ireland.  Her largest roles to date are Molly Jenson in Ghost, which will run in the Grand Opera House from 11th to 15th October and Elle Woods in Legally Blonde the musical, Grand Opera House, September 2015.  She was one of the few Northern Ireland nominees announced at The A.I.M.S (Amateur Irish Musicals Societies) as best Comedienne for her portrayal of this role.

Johanna has stated that she gained a variety of acting skills at Ulidia Integrated College, Carrickfergus, which equipped her to develop her chosen path in the performing arts sector.

“I spent many happy years at Ulidia, building lifelong friendships along the way. Through the Specialist School programme for musical, visual and performing arts at Ulidia Integrated College, I developed a wealth of knowledge as well as successfully gaining qualifications in Music and Performing Arts.”
