This week at Languages Club, Molly from Year 9 shared some of her knowledge and interest in Japanese culture. We looked at making basic greetings in Japanese and discussed the Kimono that Molly had brought in. Many members of the group have an interest in Manga style animé so we were pleased to browse through some of Molly’s vast collection of novels.
Languages Club meets on Wednesdays at lunch time in LA 1. This club gives the pupils an opportunity to share their own first language, or develop any interest they may have in different languages. So far we have had sessions led by the students in Japanese, Cantonese, Russian, Polish and Italian with Spanish and German taster sessions led by Mrs Redmond.
Everyone will be made most welcome at Languages Club, come along and give it a try.
