Every January, the Maths department welcomes visitors to share their experiences about different types of qualifications and jobs which would require A-Level Maths.

We were delighted to welcome Maciej, a former pupil of UIC, now studying Mechanical Engineering at Queen’s University. Also, Oliver, who is completing a Masters in Data Analytics and finally Miss Greer who is completing one of her PGCE school placements at UIC (to become a Maths teacher).

Each guest spoke about the many opportunities available when you choose GCSE Further Maths and A-level Maths. They also highlighted the transferable skills from this subject, as well as how it supports other subjects.

We hope that this presentation will help our Year 10 and 12 to make informed decisions about their choices in January. Thank you so much to our guests. We look forward to welcoming more past pupils of UIC and other friends of the school in the future.
