06 Jun School Chess Champion Crowned At Ulidia

Congratulation to Martin Mullan 10GL who has become the overall Chess Champion of Ulidia Integrated College after beating his  final opponent  Ivan Buick 13BD.

Earlier in the year Martin won the Junior Chess Championship and his winning form has continued unabated. A total of 22 players across all year groups entered the Open Tournament and a  series of exciting matches were played over many Thursdays culminating in a gripping final on 5^th June 2014.

Nathan McErlean 10TN came third, he is certainly one to watch next year.
