Chinese New Year, also known as the Lunar New Year or Spring Festival, is one of the most important traditional holidays in China and is celebrated by Chinese communities around the world.

In the Geography Department, students have been learning about this festival in their classes, exploring its cultural significance, global impact, and the ways it is celebrated in different regions. They have studied how traditions such as family reunions, festive meals, red decorations, and dragon and lion dances reflect history, migration patterns, and cultural values.

Through these lessons, students are gaining a deeper understanding of how Chinese New Year connects communities across the globe and highlights the relationship between culture and place.

We Wish everyone celebrating today a Xฤซn Niรกn Kuร i Lรจ (ๆ–ฐๅนดๅฟซไน) (Happy New Year)
