On Friday 20th February we were delighted to welcome Catherine Owen, President of the Geographical Association, to our school.

During her visit, Catherine spent time with students and staff to learn more about how geography is taught and experienced in an integrated school setting. She engaged in thoughtful discussions about curriculum, learning approaches, and the role geography plays in helping young people understand the world around them.

In the afternoon, Catherine met with representatives from NICIE and IEF to explore the context and impact of Integrated Education in Northern Ireland.

Catherine will use the insights from her visit to inform her Geographical Association Presidential Lecture, which will be delivered at the GA Conference later this year.

We were honoured to share our work and perspectives and to be part of such an insightful and meaningful visit.
