Noel McKee from East Antrim Counselling Service has been visiting assemblies over the last week in order to raise awareness of an important new app called ‘Here2Help.’
The idea behind the app is to provide easy and immediate access to a range of help and support lines when you or someone you know is in crisis. All pupils have been encouraged to download the app onto their phone and we would encourage all staff and parents to do the same.
We all at some point or other may feel the pressures of life or recognise that others are struggling to cope. The app provides access to information about different problems as well as a direct link to a range of agencies such as FASA for drugs and alcohol support, AWARE Defeat Depression and Lighthouse for suicide awareness. It is an important pocket guide stored on your phone in order to help you or others in a time of need.
