As I look forward to taking up my post in September 2016 as Principal of Ulidia Integrated College, I am delighted to report that our Sixth Form students have once again exceeded not just the school’s high expectations and targets, but also those set out by the Department of Education for Northern Ireland to benchmark and measure academic success and high quality teaching and learning.

98% of our sixth form students have attained three or more ‘A’ Levels or equivalent, and 100% of our sixth form students have attained two or more ‘A’ Levels or equivalent.  As an indication of ongoing excellence, I am pleased to note that 75.5% of our students gained three or more A*-C grades – a 6.5% increase on last year.

At AS level our students have also continued to produce excellent results.

I would like to congratulate all of our Sixth Form students and thank the teaching staff of the college for their endeavour and dedication over the last two years. This has culminated in the students achieving yet another excellent set of examination results that we are very proud of.

I would also like to congratulate those students from the other schools in the town who have studied with us as part of the Carrickfergus Learning Community on their successes.

On behalf of the Board of Governors and staff, may I wish all the students the very best for their future.

M Houston, Principal
