Year 8 ‘ReadOn’ in support of children’s charity

Our year 8 pupils recently completed the sponsored ‘ReadOn’ challenge, raising an outstanding £500 for Cancer Fund for Children. The pupils are very proud of their achievement and are happy that the money is going to such a fantastic cause.

Erin (8STL) and Tamzin (8STL) said, ‘We are very proud that we raised so much money. Both our books were by Roald Dahl. We are glad it’s going to a good cause. A little amount makes a big difference!’

Brooke (8STL) said, ‘I enjoyed raising money for this cause because I know it’s going towards helping children with cancer. I am proud to be able to help.’

Jack (8STL) said, ‘I think ReadOn is a great way to raise money for people who have cancer. It felt great and I’m really proud to have raised money.’

And so should all of year 8 for raising such an amazing amount!
