23 Jun Ulidia Awarded Fair Achiever Award
Ulidia Integrated College has been awarded ‘Fair Achiever’ award by the Fair Trade foundation.
The award has been achieved through a sustained programme of Fair Trade education at Ulidia Integrated College through a number of subject areas and through the Eco Team over many years. This award is the highest level of Fair Trade Schools award and replaces our previous ‘Fair Trade Active’ award which was presented to the college in 2018.
When presenting the award the Fair Trade Foundation commented that: ‘It’s great to see that you have engaged with Fairtrade through a range of different activities….. It’s particularly pleasing to see that the Eco Team play a leading role in organising all of your Fairtrade activities and that the students are involved in driving this….. It’s brilliant to read about all your excellent Fairtrade engagement from introducing Fairtrade products to running exciting activities to raise awareness of Fairtrade. Of particular note is the fact that lots of what you do is led by pupils, this is really positive in giving them the opportunity to learn and develop their knowledge of global issues.’
