Prince and Princess of Wales visit Carrickfergus

Prince and Princess of Wales visit Carrickfergus

Our Senior Prefect Team along with some Sixth Form students who have gone above and beyond gaining additional University of Ulster qualifications had the opportunity of meeting Prince William and Princess Kate yesterday when they visited Carrickfergus.

They both took time speaking to and shaking hands with our students and showed great interest in the roles and responsibilities that they have within the College. Princess Kate enquired about their Mentor and Prefect badges and congratulated them on being prefects saying “well done for all the hard work, being prefect takes a lot of hard work”. She also asked that they pass on a hello to all of the school from her.

Our very own Rhys Millar, The Lord Lieutenant’s Cadet for Co. Antrim, greeted The Prince and Princess of Wales on arrival as well as escorting them to and from their car. How proud are we all that this young man is one of our very own sixth form students!

This is a day our students will remember forever and once again they were wonderful ambassadors for our school.
