Careers Convention

Careers Convention

Our Year 12 students joined the students from the other two schools in the Carrickfergus Learning Community to attend the CLC Careers Convention in the Amphitheatre. This major event is jointly organised by the three schools, with the support from the Mid and East Antrim Borough Council.

After a 2 year hiatus, we were absolutely delighted to welcome back over 100 exhibitors at 55 stands, including the main Further Education, Training and Service providers in NI, Universities from all over the UK and further afield, and many major employers.

This annual convention is a key event for pupils in year 12, and this year again questions were asked, curiosity was piqued, and conversations about our young people’s future took place.

This year’s convention was fantastic and on behalf of all our Year 12 students, we would like to thank all the exhibitors who took part and gave their time to our students. We also thank MEA for their support, the Amphitheatre for hosting this major event, and Mayor Alderman Noel Williams for his memorable visit.

Finally, a huge thank you to our Head Girl Katie and Head Boy Matthew who were fantastic representatives for our school.
