Livestock and Meat Commission Visit

Students from Year 11 Food and Nutrition and Year 11 Contemporary Cuisine were treated to a visit from the Livestock and Meat Commission on Monday 9th October 2017. The classes were combined for a cookery demonstration from Hilary Stevenson, who talked to the students about the Eatwell Guide and including meat as part of a balanced diet whilst making Chilli Con Carne and ‘Yummy Lamb Curry’. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the finished result and came away with an LMC recipe book to try the recipes at home.
