Madagascar Learning Experience

Madagascar Learning Experience

On Tuesday 5th January, the eco team were visited by Sue Christie from Eco Schools Northern Ireland. Mrs Christie spoke to the group about her travels within Madagascar, which were very exciting.

The group learnt about the ecosystems in Madagascar and about the biodiversity within the Island. The team really enjoyed hearing about the animals and were especially excited to hear about the lemurs and crocodiles!

The group heard about environmental pressures within Madagascar such as deforestation and air pollution caused by charcoal burning.

The group look forward to learning more about Madagascar as they progress further through their joint project with a school in Fort Dauphine, Madagascar.

Thank you to Sue Christie for visiting and sharing your experiences with us.
